Let me preface this ad copy by telling you that you could do this job. This is not rocket science. If you have a semblance of “common sense” you’ll do just fine. I’m only looking for that one person who would love a career that he or she could truly be passionate about it. I always considered myself the dumbest kid in school with no set goals, but I got into radio and eventually created JUKEBOXES UNLIMITED with no knowledge of or experience with jukeboxes. I was just this semi-charismatic guy with big ideas, a little common sense, strong work ethic and an inventive/creative spirit. Oh, and Passion. I’ve been a decent jukebox salesman, but I’d have done better had I had a business minded partner instead of doing it all by myself. Being a detail person and amateur perfectionist, it’s hard for me to let someone else do what I can, so I work all the time. These last 3 years my health has been taking a real toll on my ability to keep this adventure going. I’m 79 years old with a wonderful case of arthritis, so I’ve been raising my prices just to reduce the amount of sales/ work. Since you’ll start off having enough inventory to last a few years all you have to do is take these jukeboxes to shops in SoCal and LET THEM DO ALL THE WORK. They know exactly how to rebuild jukes with the intention of having them last longer than their buyers. Once you get the rebuilt jukes back from the shops, you sell them. They don’t need marketing. Jukeboxes sell themselves. And folks will find your site from all over the world with Google. You could sell out of your home like I’ve done for the last 36 years or set up a nearby (appointment only) showroom like I have now. This could be the perfect family business with no need for actual employees. Every day is a new adventure and sometimes even a challenge, but most of the time it’s a “kick” and extremely rewarding. It's a labor of love. It’s a job you’re happy to wake up to in the morning. I sell around 30 to 40 jukes a year for between $4K and $20K but that’s more work than I want to do. Upwards of 200 jukes go with the sale of JUKEBOXES UNLIMITED including lots of parts and jukes for parting out. The $250,000 asking price is well under what I have in the inventory alone. This is a somewhat whimsical, nearly mystical, very unique, awfully fun, simply amazing, as well as highly rewarding business I’d like to sell in an industry I pioneered over 50 years ago. I refurbish and sell jukeboxes, mostly to homes, but some establishments around the globe. People tell me I have the “Coolest Business” and the “Greatest Job on the Planet”. Everyone everywhere loves jukeboxes. When viewed or mentioned, people’s eyes light up, a huge smile comes across their face and they gleefully tell you of their encounters and experiences through life with one or more of these beauties. If you tell someone you restore jukeboxes they will appear to be in awe of you. If you wear a shirt with JUKEBOXES UNLIMITED on it (like I do) people will strike up a conversation. Occasionally strangers tell me “I just saw you on TV”. If you wouldn’t mind the mini-celebrity recognition., this will be one of the more curious perks, Jukeboxes are loved in nearly every culture in the world because they play the International language of love and peace …. MUSIC! These decades have brought me so much excitement, pleasure and fun it’s hard to describe. I would love to see someone continue the legacy of restoring high quality products born of American ingenuity (over 120 years ago) while appreciating where it stands in our wonderful American culture. I'm not just selling a “One of a Kind”, highly revered company. I'm selling "The American Dream". Every bit of what I've said is still happening. This could be that “Opportunity of a Lifetime” you've always dreamt about. So if you or someone you know has a few hundred thousand bucks and or the wherewithal to pull it off … reply. IF YOU ONLY WANT THE INVENTORY .. lets talk. Location: Los Angeles, California Year Established: 1971 Number of Employees: 0 Relocatable: Yes Home Based: Yes Real Estate: Leased Building Sq. Ft.: 1,200 Rent: $1,200.00 Per Month Lease Expiration: 3/31/2023 Facilities: I've been running my business out of my residence since 1985 performing everything needed in a 400 Sq/Ft. home/shop. I've also set up a (By Appointment Only) showroom in a nearby shopping center where we have 85 jukes on display and no employees. This allows me to set up customer's appointments anytime they like. I have no employees. I intend to keep the leased showroom for myself. I also have long running contract shops that can do some or ALL OF THE WORK. I store jukes and parts in a public storage. You can take as many items as you like. Website: jukeboxesunlimited.com Market Outlook/ Competition: We have no real competition in California or anywhere it would seem. Otherwise why do we continually sell jukes throughout California, the nation and the world? We haven't advertised in decades, we don't use eBay. I keep raising our prices and we're told by those who know, that we get double to triple what others around the country get. Growth & Expansion: I believe SoCal might be the best place for as unique a venture as this is. These beauties can definitely be an impulse item in a brick and mortar. My experience tells me this item would fly off the shelves in Los Angeles places like the Grove, Hollywood and Highland, Downtown Santa Monica or locations in Orange County such as Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine and Anaheim. Why not in Palm Springs or San Diego?
